Slide, jump, bungee, bounce, joust, golf, and ride

on Jefferson Township Day!

It’s time for kids of all ages – little ones, ‘tweens and teens as well as adults to come out and play on Jefferson Township Day this year.  The Jefferson Arts Committee has contracted to have exciting inflatable activities provided by Moonwalk Entertainment set up on the Jefferson Township High School field located at 1010 Weldon Roadon Saturday, July 10 beginning at 1 PM.

‘Tweens through adults will enjoy several inflatable activities.  First, climb to great heights on the Giant Slide and enjoy the slide down, similar to an airplane emergency slides but  without the emergency. Then on to the Challenge Obstacle Course that can be used for individual competition, team relays, or free play. It’s like three rides in one with crawl holes, squeeze rollers, and a slide. In the Equalizer Bungee Sports Challenge, opponents are bungeed back to back. Basketball fans try to score baskets while at the same time, trying to prevent their opponent from scoring by pulling them off of their feet while football fans can stretch and pull their way into the end zone to place Velcro footballs on the yard lines. Hysterical fun for everyone. Last but not least is the Pedestal Joust where opponents try to knock each other off a large pedestal just like back in medieval times but without the horses. Climb up and battle for the title but be warned that it’s hard to concentrate when you’re laughing so hard it hurts!   Each participant gets a helmet and a foam jousting pole.

In the meantime, young children will delight in exploring the tunnels of a friendly critter known as the KiddiePillar Maze. There’s a new surprise at every step including pop-up figures and a slide. There are windows along the way so parents can see in and children can see out! Balloon Typhoon is a bright and cheerful inflated clown head that will generate more excitement than any live one could. Dozens of colorful balloons are flying around inside to the delight of the kids who try to catch them! Parents can see through the eyes of the clown, so keep your camera ready. The Trackless Train can carry 12 adults or 18 small children around the field with a real train whistle, clanging bells, and a headlight!

Then there will be a 9-hole miniature golf course that will provide lots of fun for everyone. A beautiful course, each with a different obstacle, it will include a sand trap, loop de loop, a bridge, a flower garden, and more. Clubs, balls, scorecards and pencils will be provided so everyone can play as teams or individually.

The Jefferson Township Recreation Department will offer exciting off-road vehicle rides – hold on tight!

All activities will incur a nominal fee to participate. For information about all the day’s and night’s activities, log on to www.jeffersonarts.org or call 973-697-2032 or 973-697-3828.

Don’t sit at home – come out and play on July 10th!
