Vendor spaces available for July’s Jefferson Township Day
The 23rd annual celebration of Jefferson Township Day will take place on Saturday, July 11 (rain date Sunday, July 12) at the Jefferson Township High School fields located at 1010 Weldon Road, easily accessible from Routes 23, 15, and 80. A variety of activities will take place during the daylong celebration -- exhibits, a parade, children’s games, live entertainment, numerous inflatable activities for all ages including an equalizer bungee sports challenge and pedestal joust through Moonwalk Entertainment, a nine-hole miniature golf course, a 25’ rock climbing wall, a dunk tank, and a variety of food. The day’s events will culminate with a concert under the stars followed by a huge aerial fireworks display.
Some additional vendor spaces for the sale of arts, crafts, and merchandise are still available. The Arts Committee is anxious to attract high-quality arts and crafts vendors as well. A 12-foot by 16-foot space can be reserved for a $75 fee with participants providing their own tables, chairs, and canopies if desired. Vendors are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe booth and will be issued one parking permit per space. All unloading must be done between 7 and 10 AM that morning, and all vendors must be out of the selling areas by 7 PM that evening. Vehicles are not permitted to remain in the selling area except to loan and unload. The sale of aerosol products, glow-in-the-dark items, light sticks, sparklers, snappers, or fireworks of any kind is prohibited, as are animals, alcoholic beverages, and bicycles. Food cannot be sold in the arts, crafts, and merchandise areas.
Jefferson Township service organizations interested in a vendor space may also reserve a 12-foot by 16-foot space at a courtesy rate of $25 if they are selling any type of item(s) or only $10 if they just want to distribute information about their organization.
Food vendors wishing to participate may be able to do so by reserving a 26-foot by 26-foot space for $340 plus a $200 clean-up security deposit.
Participation as a vendor should be profitable for the dealer, and the application fee will help the Jefferson Arts Committee defray the cost for this huge event.
