Broadway bound to "On Your Feet"
Please join the Jefferson Arts Committee as we travel to Broadway on Wednesday, March29, 2017, for the 2 PM Matinee of“On Your Feet!” We will board the bus at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635Berkshire Valley Road in Milton/Oak Ridge at 10AM anddepart promptly at 10:15 AM sharp toarrive in NYC around 11:30 AM.Lunch will be on your own and then we will enjoy the performance of“On Your Feet!”at the Marquis Theatre located on 46thStreet between Broadway and 8thAvenue in NYC. We will return to St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church after the performance.
“On Your Feet!”is the story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan, two people who – through an unwavering dedication to one another and their pursuit of the American dream - showcased their talent, their music, and their heritage to theworldin a remarkable rise to global superstardom.
The score is built around the Cuban-fusion dance songs made famous by Gloria Estefan, such as “Get on Your Feet”, “Conga”, “1-2-3” and “RhythmisGonna Get You”. It also features an original song called “If I Never Gotto Tell You” with lyrics by Gloria Estefan and music by their daughter, Emily Estefan.
The cost of the performance which includes orchestra seating, deluxe motor coach accommodations and driver gratuity is $112. Tickets are notrefundable unless we can resell your tickets. Monies are due no later than November 23, 2016.
