Lighting of the Township Christmas Tree at the Gazebo
Ushering in the season, the Jefferson Township Recreation Department will host the annual Lighting of the Township Christmas Tree at the Gazebo located in the Municipal Complex, 1033 Weldon Road at 7 PM on Friday, December 5. There will be entertainment by a township school chorus, the official lighting of the Township Christmas Tree by the 2008 Citizens of the Year Kathy Valva and Bill Craig, a reading of “The Night Before Christmas” by Council Vice President Brooke Hardy, and the arrival of Santa himself on a Jefferson Township Fire Truck. Candy canes will be given out and refreshments will be served in the Municipal Building lobby after the lighting of the tree. For information, call the Recreation Department office at 973-663-8404.
