The Jefferson Community Players are rehearsing for their full-length summer production of "Rumors", a comedic farce written by premier American playwright, Neil Simon.  The play will be performed July 25-27 and August 1-2 at the Jefferson Township High School.  The cast members (in alphabetical order) are:  Leslie Brushaber, Lou Cerny, Jordan Cimbal, Krysia Dour, Thom Florio, Lynda Kolvik, Craig Moore, Dina Nicholas, Danielle Perez and Rob Vander Ploeg.  The company is directed by Marvin Silbersher, a former director for CBS television network and a veteran director and actor of many stage and movie productions.

"Rumors" captures the night that four couples gather in the home of their friends, Charley and Myra Brock, to celebrate the couple's tenth wedding anniversary.  The party never begins, because Charley has shot himself in the head (it's a flesh wound) and Myra is missing.  His lawyer's attempt to cover up the situation get progressively more difficult as other guests arrive and nobody can remember who has been told what about whom.  The humor escalates as the rumors multiply to create a lively and hilarious show.  Come and join the party.
