JCP offers A Cup of Christmas Tea
In conjunction with the Jefferson Arts Committee’s upcoming third annual Christmas in the Village event scheduled for Saturday, December 1, 2007, the Jefferson Community Players will present three free performances of O’Henry’s beloved story “The Gift of the Magi” at the Jefferson Township Senior Center, 54 Schoolhouse Road in the Milton/Oak Ridge section of the township. Centered around the performances will be three seatings of a Victorian Tea, and reservations are required.
The first tea seating complete with miniature desserts, china teacups and saucers is scheduled for 10:30 AM, followed by a 12:30 PM seating, and a 2:30 PM seating. The cost of the Tea is only $5 per person, and an adult must accompany children under the age of 12. While enjoying this tea service, you will also be enjoying a free performance of “The Gift of the Magi”, a story of true and unselfish love that will warm your heart.
Reservation forms will be distributed through all township schools; but you can register now by picking up a registration form at the Jefferson Township Public Library, Municipal Building Lobby, or Camp Jefferson’s Recreation Department brochure racks. Just indicate your choice of the first, second, or third seating; write a check for $5 per person payable to the Jefferson Arts Committee; and mail the completed form and check to Jill Moore, 126 Notch Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438 no later than November 23rd.
