Food and refreshments await you at Christmas in the Village
The third annual Christmas in the Village event scheduled by the Jefferson Arts Committee for Saturday, December 1, 2007 in Milton Village and vicinity (Milton and Dover-Milton Roads area) will offer a variety of refreshments and food items in addition to all the activities and entertainment planned.
The volunteer members of the Milton First Aid Squad will be hosting three seatings of a pancake breakfast serving up hot breakfast item at their squad building at 45 Milton Road. Reservations are necessary and a fee per person will be in force.
Hot soup and sandwiches will be offered for sale at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church at 153 Milton Road. Then you can shop for dessert during the VFW Post #564’s Bake Sale.
Stop by the grounds of the Jefferson Township Museum at 315 Dover Milton Road for complimentary hot mulled cider, cookies, roasted chestnuts, and pumpkin pie.
Hot tea and miniature desserts are on the menu for the Jefferson Community Players’ A Cup of Christmas Tea offering at the Jefferson Township Senior Center at 54 Schoolhouse Road. Reservations are necessary and there will be a $5 fee for the tea service at 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2:30 PM; but you can also stop by to see a free performance of “The Gift of the Magi.”
During the rock bands with holiday spirit performances, members of American Legion Post #423 will be selling pizza, snacks, and sodas.
Parishioners from the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church will be selling wraps, Danish, and beverages at the Jefferson Township Public Library located at 1030 Weldon Road in the Municipal Complex.
Members of the Jefferson Arts Committee will be selling hot dogs and soda at Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 1’s firehouse while the volunteers of the Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary will be serving up spicy chili, donuts, and chips.
While Visiting with Santa at Camp Jefferson’s Lodge located at 81 Weldon Road, the Jefferson Township Recreation Department will offer hot chocolate, hot dogs, snacks, and soda for sale.
Following the annual Tree Lighting and Santa’s arrival at the Township Gazebo located in the Municipal Complex that evening, there will be complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.
Most venues will also be selling Jefferson Arts Committee’s Christmas in the Village commemorative chocolate bars.
