Activities for all ages to be found at Christmas in the Village

Saturday, December 1, 2007 will be a special day in Jefferson Township as the Jefferson Arts Committee and the Jefferson Township Recreation Department present the third annual Christmas in the Village event at venues all over town.  Besides live entertainment, shopping opportunities, and food and refreshments, there will be many exciting activities taking place from 10 AM to 4 PM and then again at 7 PM.

Jefferson Township Public Library:  10 AM to 4 PM - Gingerbread House Contest and Grandma’s Cookie Contest Displays (entry information and pre-registration required for either contest by calling 973-697-4372 - $4 per entry).
           
Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 1: 10 AM to 4 PM - Craft Fair featuring high quality items for sale by a dozen vendors.
           
Camp Jefferson
:  10 AM to 4 PM - Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and the Elves arrive; arts and craft activities, holiday music, goodie bags, refreshments; Jefferson Consolidated PTA Holiday Shoppe; model train display by BD&W Train Club.

Jefferson Township Museum: 10 AM to 4 PM - Victorian Christmas display themed Winter Wonderland; continuous hayrides; 1 PM – Pinecone bird feeders with Cub Scout Pack 49, Den 5..
           
Jefferson Township Senior Center:  Three Tea Service seatings - 10:30 AM 12:30 PM, and 2:30 PM by reservation (973-697-2750) and $5 per person.
           
Jefferson Township Gazebo:  7 PM – Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, reading of The Night Before Christmas,  and Santa’s arrival via fire truck.
