Eight Days of Blues to perform on August 12 at Jefferson Gazebo

It’s Eight Days of Blues at August 12 free gazebo concert

The Jefferson Arts Committee’s Gazebo Committee is pleased to announce that the classic blues/blues-rock band with indelible style known as The Eight Days of Blues will perform in their summer concert series on August 12 in the beautiful Victorian gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ.

The 6-piece Eight Days of Blues band is a rockin' blues band for people of all ages. A danceable groove, innovative dynamics and a love for the blues create the band's original, raw energy. Two drummers deliver a hard-hitting beat. Eight Days of Blues performs both original blues and blues classics done their way, infused with rock and touches of Latin, jazz and funk.  The band has performed in the Blues & Street Festival in Newton, Sparta’s Red, White and Blues Festival, the NJ Botanical Gardens in Ringwood, and many other locations in the tri-state area.   Check them out at http://www.eightdaysofblues.com

Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort; and non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. Everyone is asked to please take their trash with them when they leave.

In the event of the threat of inclement weather or such weather, the concert will be moved to the Jefferson Township High School auditorium, just up the street at 1010 Weldon Road.  For information and updates, call 973-697-2032 or 697-3828, log on to www.jeffersonarts.org or www.jeffersontownship.net

Come out on Friday evening, August 12 – what a great way to end the week and wind down for the weekend. Remember, dancing and singing along is always encouraged at the summer concerts!
