Fireworks will light up the sky on July 10th!

The fireworks will go on in Jefferson Township this year!

While many towns and cities are canceling their annual Fourth of July fireworks displays, the Jefferson Arts Committee is pleased to announce that their annual fireworks celebration will go on as usual during the 24th annual Jefferson Township Day celebration on Saturday, July 10 at 9:30 PM!

Following an 11 am township parade, contests, a full day of activities, arts/crafts/merchandise vendors, food, and continuous entertainment on the fields of the Jefferson Township High School located at 1010 Weldon Road in the Milton/Oak Ridge section of Jefferson Township, attendees can enjoy music under the stars listening to the talented members of the Jefferson Township Community Chorus and Jefferson Township Community Band.  Then at approximately 9:30 PM after the 50/50 raffle drawing and Mayor Russ Felter’s announcements of his Citizens of the Year awards, sit back and watch the skies light up for a spectacular fireworks display orchestrated by the Interstate Fireworks Company.

Admission and parking are free throughout the entire day; however, at 5:30 PM, there will be a $2 per adult and $1 per child admission fee at all gates to help defray the cost of the event.  Come have dinner at one of a dozen food vendor stands, enjoy the entertainment on the main stage, and look up to the skies to watch with awe the best aerial fireworks display you  might see this summer.
