Jefferson Twsp Community Band opens free Gazebo Concert series
The Jefferson Arts Committee will present its 2010 free summer Gazebo concert series with its first event on Friday evening, June 25th beginning at 7 pm at the township gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex at 1033 Weldon Road. The Jefferson Township Community Band will offer a wonderful ensemble of popular favorites including the classics, Broadway musicals, standard marches, and patriotic salutes performed by talented local musicians under the direction of Peter Tummillo.
Sponsored by the Jefferson Township Gazebo Committee, the concert will be moved to the Jefferson Township High School Auditorium (1010 Weldon Road) in the event of inclement weather. Please call 973-697-3828 for weather updates.
Bring along a blanket/chair for your comfort. Non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted unless the concerts are moved indoors due to weather conditions!

From Route 23 North:
Exit at Oak Ridge Road (exit on the right side just after the Clinton Road exit) jug handle and follow Oak Ridge Road about four miles. Oak Ridge Road will become Berkshire Valley Road as you cross the Passaic County border into Morris County. You will come to the Milton section of Jefferson Township – Mobile Gas Station and Lakeland Bank on your right. Proceed through the traffic light –Shopping Center will be on your left.Make a slight right onto Milton Road (just past the Pond Hollow homes entrance and just before St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church). Bear right at the last intersection (Legion Road will be to your left) as Milton Road veers off towards the right. You will pass the Fire Co #1 Firehouse on the right.Turn right onto Dover-Milton Road (the Jefferson Township Museum is directly in front of you and the Milton Methodist Church is on the right corner). Follow to the big red barn (Bowling Green Golf Course) and turn left onto Weldon Road (Headley’s Lumber will be on your right). Municipal Building will be on your right approx. 1 mile past Headley's Lumber.
From Route 23 South:
Exit at Oak Ridge Road and proceed as above.
From Route 80 West:
Take exit 34B to the Route 15 North exit. Travel North on Route 15 past the fourth traffic light. After the fourth light, you will pass a Pathmark Supermarket entrance on the left. At this point, be sure that you move into the right lane and take the second ramp on the right to Weldon Road (immediately after the Lake Shawnee exit ramp). This exit puts you directly onto Weldon Road, and the Municipal Building is approximately 6 miles down on the left-hand side.
From Route 80 East:
Take exit 34 and follow signs for Route 15 North. Proceed as above.

In case of inclement weather and the concert is moved indoors, the Jefferson Township High School is just 1/10th of a mile up the road!
Directions to Jefferson Township High School and Middle School Complex Via 80 West
Exit 34B to Route 15N. After 4th light get into right lane; exit “Weldon Road.” Travel approximately 5 miles (pass Mahlon Dickinson Reservation Picnic Area). The Middle School and the High School are both on the right.
Directions to Jefferson Township High School and Middle School Complex Via Route 23
Exit Route 23 at “Oak Ridge Road.” Travel approximately 4 miles to the light at Ridge Road, turn right onto Ridge Road. Travel one mile to blinking light and turn left onto Schoolhouse Road. At the end of Schoolhouse Road “T”, turn right onto Dover-Milton Road. Bear left at the red barn, over the bridge to Weldon Road. Continue approximately 1 mile to the High School/Middle School Complex on the left.
